Just like the title says, i agree with Steve, nintendo gets a free pass for alot of bad decisions they made, while the same nintendo fans ruthlessly bash microsoft and sony. |

We've countered this argument over and over with proof showing otherwise. Please counter back instead of blatantly saying you agree. |

What was your argument against Steve's point? That nintendo fans are angry with nintendo wii u as well? |

The issue wasn't the Wii U itself, it was the monetizing on Youtube thing. Which is covered a lot in gaming media. Google it yourself. |

I know Steve said the main issue is nintendo ""have to monetize everything", but he also said if other companies do something wrong they bashed on.
Other youtubers have no problem playing bloodborne on the ps4 or pc. So the problem isn't just the policy, its nintendo as well. Sony and microsoft gets bashed for their business ethics, they try to force players to buy dlc, season pass, crappy sequels, and whatever. Other companies Activision, ubisoft have all taken abuse. |

This is the point I've been trying to make. The examples given for other companies affect all gamers who play their games. The problem that people are saying about Nintendo affects a very small fraction of Nintendo fans, and those people do complain. Heck this entire topic was started because of somebody complaining about it. Nintendo gets a "free pass" because they're not doing anything bad enough to piss off their entire fanbase. And people do complain about the little things, like when characters are cut from Super Smash Bros, or when Battle Mode was changed in Mario Kart 8, it's just that the games were still so great that no one cared in the long run. |

I know nintendo dont force seasons pass, dlc. That wasn't the issue. But nintendo don't play well with 3rd party developers, one of the presidents called them useless. Nintendo force developers to pay more for development costs, really? There's nothing really complicated about programming nintendo games, it's not like their physics engine is so advance, they need more time to polish their games. Do you know nintendo has around 10 billion dollars in the bank? http://wiiudaily.com/2014/03/nintendo-not-doomed/ They don't need to enforce all these stupid policies where other companies are cool with youtube gamers playing their games without charging them 40%. There are gamers who are playing bloodborne, gta 5, assassins creed, dragonball xenoverse and even call of duty advance warfare. Edited by Zoom, Apr 17 2015, 10:19 PM.

The problem is that I don't see much demand from consumers for more third party games. I'm sure there's some, and I'm potentially completely wrong since I don't have a Nintendo console, but it's not enough to warrant angry backlash from customers. And it's the same with their Youtube policies, I don't make videos so I don't really care. None of this really affects my favourite Nintendo games, whereas in the case of EA and Ubisoft etc. There's usually DLC and locked content up the a***, which does directly affect me and therefore I don't want to buy their games. Most of these issues seem to be a non-factor for the consumers. |

So fans aren't pissed off at Nintendo for the scarcity of Amiibo's? Sure seems like it. Skylanders and Disney Infinity do the same thing with this figure DLC crap but they actually make enough of them to meet demand, what's Nintendo's excuse? I fail to see how this is somehow better than other DLC at least with them typically you get some kind of ultimate edition that has all of them later on you can get at a lower price, no chance of that with Amiibo's. Also how are Sony and Microsoft to blame for what publishers like Ubisoft do? That makes no sense, they aren't first party developers pretty much all the s*** games like that are on PS, Xbox and PC, hardly in control of any one of them. What's so fantastic about Nintendo's DLC anyway? It's all really minor stuff no good expansions or anything like that. Lets not forget the shameless Mercedes product placement. |

Mario Kart 8 has had 16 new tracks, 6 new characters (granted 3 of them were just reskins, and people did complain about that), and 11 new vehicles (3 of which were free). And on top of all that, and my personal favourite thing, they're releasing a brand new speed tier. For free. The Mercedes thing was free DLC, who's going to complain about free content? |

The vehicles thing is kind of a joke though they're barely different they merely look different, they're reskins I guarantee you almost everything has something with the exact same stats already in the game. Maybe there's like one that's unique stat wise but me and my girlfriend haven't got it and we have thousands of coins. SO vehicles is really just paying for skins. Tracks are okay I guess but it's not like they're big, at least it's not $12 per DLC with this much content though so there's a plus but it's hardly much content. |
